In this work sample, participants are evaluated on the tasks common to many jobs in the electronics field. Specifically, participants are required to: use assembly diagrams; select and install resistors; measure distance on a printed circuit board; use a lead bending jig; cut leads and wires; solder components; select, measure, strip and tin wires; build a cable assembly; install cable ties; adjust the ohm meter; test for continuity; manipulate the power supply; test with voltage; and install resistors by hand wiring.
